Hello and Welcome to Intuitively Inspired Designs, the web-home of my own handmade jewelry, and soon to be added select minerals and other quality of life enhancements...
Here nature's gifts, our beautiful geologic heritage, are the focus of my creations.
I'm Allen, a U.S. native who has been a lover of science, minerals and gemstones my whole life.
I started making jewelry in 1991, but it wasn't until many years later after a course of study in art, sculpture and jewelry making at VCU
in late 1997 when durring a moment of clairity I realized I had to persue this as my work.
Serendipitously, within 48 hours of that moment I "randomly" ran into an old friend from when
I started in '91 who just went "oh, it's you, hey, I've got something for you" and simply gave
me a bunch of crystals. I was absoulutely certain and have been ever since; it was if the Universe
had said "oh yeah? well here's some stuff, make it so then." So now I don't doubt serendipity at
all either, or an individual's part in noticing and stepping up to it's challenge.
It has
been quite a journey from there, I feel blessed to have siezed the opportunity to
work with a fusion of science, art, magic & nature (really all variations of the same thing;), and people
(& I guess you can count the people in there too;).
At the moment, I'm not entirely sure how I wish to manage my web-presence;
if I want this site to be just information or if I want to develop its commercial aspect. Since I make the pieces, take the pictures
and write the code too; it can be a lot to get to. Currently, the best way to keep up with my recient creations is to
visit my auctions.
